One of my hobbies is the development of various electronic devices.
This product required a lot of speed,multi functionality and short deadlines. The time limit did not allow additional research, it was decided to make a layout with separate processor modules.
Characteristics: movement speed 0.6 m/s, number of measuring positions 3000 per cycle, 18000 measurements in 4 seconds. Measurement: 6 sensors, optical line 1 micron. Control: proportional valve, manual control buttons.
For data transfer and synchronization between processors, none of the built-in interfaces were suitable; therefore, a protocol with a speed of 1 megabit was invented. Now the module with the Raspberry Pi, can be successfully used in first-class military guidance systems.:)
