Nowadays, the world sees a range of social issues that affect different groups of people. It is depressing, but now lookism is still a typical and even trivial problem.

Many overweight people turn down jobs because the company thinks that they don't fit the company and try to find subtle ways and grounds to not recruit people who look overweight or don't have a harmonious silhouette. In my mind, it is essential to discuss such issues. In some cases, look matters in haring even more than knowledge. Of course, sometimes it can be justified. For example, police officers or for firemen. We all know that such a job requires some kind of body. But at the same time, it is downright that in most cases it is just discrimination. As far as I can say, not all people who have some struggles with weight are just lazy. For many, it is actually a clinical problem. And along with this, it is just impossible to be on the ball all the time due to different life situations.

That was a long time ago, but I'd like to mention the story of one of the most famous people - Gaudy. We all know who Gaudy is, but not many people know how he died, and this story shows how much people tend to judge others by looks.  Gaudy went to church every Sunday, and one day he was hit by a tram on the way to church. He could have been saved, but for some reason that day he was dressed in old clothes and looked like a homeless, no one saw Gaudy in him. Taxi drivers refused to take him to the hospital and when he finally got to the hospital it was too late, and soon he died. Just imagine, people refused to take him to the hospital just because he looked bad. And from that time nothing really changed.

 Fortunately, in some countries, there is a law that makes lookism impossible.  And it plays a significant role in solving this problem because in the case of lookism everyone has the ability to gripe and write a lawsuit. I hope that in our life it is only a matter of time, then we will find a solution. Perhaps in the future, recruitment will not depend on the look

And I believe that everyone can make a great contribution to this world. What is most important is discussing it and thinking about possible solutions.
