The Ukrainian nation is very talented. Ukrainians have created many masterpieces in music, painting, cinema and theater.

Music is one of the oldest arts in Ukraine. Ukrainians are known as a musical people with a large number of folk songs. Now there are 6 opera theaters, 3 operettas, and many song and dance groups operating here. Ukrainian orchestras, choirs and performers often tour in Europe, Asia and the USA. Pop music in Ukraine is quite developed. Pop singers such as T. Povaliy, I. Shinkaruk, S. Rotaru, I. Bilyk are well-known in Ukraine and abroad.

Frescoes are the oldest painting in Ukraine. Some of them are about a thousand years old. The famous frescoes of St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv attract many tourists from Ukraine and abroad. Some Ukrainian artists are also known all over the world. Among them is Ilya Repin (1844-1930). Many of his works show his love for Ukraine, its people, and its history. Among them is the well-known painting "Zaporozhian Cossacks writing a letter to the Turkish Sultan". He also painted many portraits of prominent figures of Russia and Ukraine, such as T. Shevchenko, M. Kostomarov, and others.

Ukrainian theater became popular in the 19th century. From the end of the 18th century, Ukrainian landowners organized theaters in their estates. Ukrainian plays were staged by serfs. Ukrainian theater is also very popular today. Among the stars of the theater are B. Stupka and A. Rogovtsev. V. Zaklunna and others. Ukrainian ballet is known on all continents. Among the famous Ukrainian ballets are "Forest Song" by N. Skorulskyi, "Lily" by K. Dankevich and many others.
