Job Title: Web PHP Developer - Full Stack

Work activities:

Build new features and components for localexpress.io (local.express)

We use: Yii2, PHP, JavaScript (VanillaJS + jQuery), HTML, CSS, MySQL, AWS, Apache, and WordPress(for landing pages), ElasticSearch.

Work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure deliverables meet design, content and UX standards.

Ensure the solutions you create meet web standard best practices, and accessibility guidelines.

Address bug fixes and improve the maintainability of existing code.

Build reusable, testable, and efficient code.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience in PHP and Framework (ideally Yii2, but Laravel, Symfony, Zend etc are ok too)

Experience with JavaScript frameworks

VanillaJS

Experience using Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control systems

Experience with MySQL, or other relational database usage

Strong foundation in web fundamentals - JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Experience building modern client-side web interfaces

Experience with, or willingness to learn, Amazon Web Services

Especially strong candidates will have:

Experience creating WordPress plugins and themes

Experience deploying applications to AWS

Required:

A minimum of three (3) years full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience writing software.
