When I plugged my pen drive to my Linux system, copied some downloads, and then replugged this pen drive to a Windows pc, some files weren't open. It's because not any filename that is correct in Linux also correct in Windows. So I'm needed to rename each file either by hands or better, with some utility automatically.

After some googling, I decided to create that utility. I developed a simple Python script that renames all files and directories (in the specified directory and its subdirectories) whose names may cause troubles on Windows. Script code is well documented and published on Github under Eclipse Public License 2.0.

This utility saved me a lot of time. If you also need some automation of your workflow, let me know.
